Image resizing

I'd like to see some sort of vBulletin plugin that resizes images down to a reasonable width, but with the ability to click an image to view full-size. People are posting lots of awesome pictures, but I have to zoom the browser out to get some of them on the page!

Omg yes, I hate how this some people just margin rape some threads. Maybe require that all picture be posted only through a picture sharing site like Flickr or photo bucket.

I have no issue with requiring the pictures be of a certain size, etc and resize mine to fit when contributing to the forums.

However, a requirement to post pictures through another site means I would no longer contribute any photos. It just adds a level of complexity that I wouldn't want to deal with since I have no interest in sharing photos in general outside a specific forum message, etc. Obviously, just my opinion.

It's not even about the pictures having to be a particular size, it's just displaying them in a way that doesn't wreck the layout of the entire page. Other vB forums have some HTML and JavaScript magic that shrinks the image down to a reasonable size (say 800x600) when viewed normally, but then allows the user to view the whole thing either in a lightbox or in-line when clicked.

Agreed. No need for that. Just make the layout not suck when someone posts a life-sized image. :)

NASIOC has this, it's invaluable. I have the same complaints posters in this thread have mentioned.

Will bumping this thread help get the attention it deserves? :)

I spend a lot of time on the forum on my iPhone, so I will def. support an auto resizing feature!

If it can be done, @Hachiroku, work your magic!!

And I'm sure most of us are either on our measly 10-17" laptops or a 22" home monitor. Just because you don't have the issue doesn't mean that the majority of the user base doesn't.

It was half sarcasm, half serious. I thought other member got that so he put " :) " at the end.
