Correct, the 250 whp 222 wtq was in Japan, while the curve with 230 whp/ 197 wtq is with USA gas.

@AVOturboworld

Theres been a significant amount of interest on Australian forums as well. Among those interested there are a number of potential buyers who are asking whether the kit will be engineer certified in australia? (Ie made road legal)

For a lot of us this will make a huge difference as to whether we go ahead with the purchase or not. I'm certainly hoping it will be because I would love to purchase one of these !

Cheers

I'll tell you if I can get mine made legal after January. I've preordered the kit including panel filter and BOV, not the exhaust as I have an HKS spec L coming, and my car is turning up late December. I'm looking to get the kit installed late January or Feb, depending on when I get the car broken in by. I've spoken in detail with AVO Australia, the department of transport in WA and the subaru tuner I am going to use, none of them see any problem with installing the kit legally and getting engineering certs for it. That is on the proviso that it is properly inspected after installation and subjected to an emissions test.

Worst case scenario I sincerely doubt your average cop would spot it under the bonnet to yellow sticker me =p

Exact same story for me in SA, getting an emissions test and engineered late this year/early next. I don't think the type of certification kharn83 is talking about is possible?

I am thinking of going the same two mods are you planning, ie AVO and Spec-L.
Which tuner are you going to use?

I hope its not too expensive. I wonder if people can do like a group-emissions-test at the same time.. kinda like a group buy, that would be cool. Also a group-engineered-car-certification. lol

Had the pleasure of meeting with the AVO guys at SEMA. My impression was honest, genuine good people. I had him say a few words so I could share with everyone here, most you already know this, but thought I"d post anyway..

Here in Australia we are waiting on the first shipment of kits to arrive, I paid my deposit a week ago. Keen to hear some real world reviews.

No.

AVO18/49 Turbocharger with 5-7psi actuator, compressor wheel size 49.2/56 exhaust wheel size 50.5/68, rated to 380 i think.

Certainly not a TD05 of any type!
