![]() So it won't be a dyno queen in numbers, but naturally I'm dying to see the torque curve.

looks to be about right. sprintex claims 84% thermal efficiency though which i find very hard to believe. considering not even turbos are that high, Vortech claim 78% for there Centrifugals. (read that on their site somewhere.) in reality i dont think they take power consumption and friction loss into account. (emailed to confirm) if that is the case i would say its more like 65-70% efficient, inline with most other srewtype blowers. power figures could be lower than 268 and most likely that is Crank hp as well. my guess is 250 is more the number your would be looking at. ~210whp.

Yeah I figured the VE of any honda was going to be better than the FA20 but being a new motor but I don't fully understand much of the limits of the FA20.

VE isnt all of it. come down to airflow. 12.5:1 offers great VE but the head doesn't flow like a honda design so it compromises power output.

http://www.pulleyboys.com/store/home.php One of the awesome things about seeing this kit when it was on the Bullet car was the amount of wrap the belt had around the pulley. Belt slip becomes a real problem on higher boost because you actually reduce the size of the pulley to spin the blower faster. This thing looks great for that. I do believe I remember a guy who got past 300whp on a twin screw with cooling, but I have no idea what the specs were on that SC. |
