those steelies look nice. This is what I'm going to be running:

don't mind the white socks, I've had them for a couple years (never wear white socks) and figured if I was going to ruin some when painting, I'd rather it be the white ones haha

I'm using OEM VW Avus 15x6 (+38 offset) wheels with lug adaptors and 195/60-15s - Wheels were $100 (used) and tires were $270 shipped after a rebate. They clear the brakes and are fine.

Here is my setup. 16x6.5 +55 offset Subaru Legacy rims running 205/60 R16. The reason I went with the 205/60 R16 instead of the 205/55 R16 was I wanted a taller profile tire for better ride comfort, I don't have to worry about pot holes destroying the rims/tires, and it was cheaper then the 55s by $30 a tire. The tires I'm running are Bridgestone Blizzaks WS-70.

^Almost bought Scion TC wheels for this purpose, but it wasn't much more to buy new wheels. Looks pretty good for winter setup, 16" is the way to go to save money on tires.

Here's my hurricane/winter rescue vehicle

Are the wheels hubcentric? What was the dimension of the bore?

I just ordered mine. 215/45R17 Dunlop Winter Sport M3s. They'll go on the OEM wheels, which will be my winter wheels - summer tires will go on my Gram Lights 57Xtreme when they arrive.

Drove my winter set-up today. 16x6.5 '04 Forester rims, painted with the cheapest paint local painting place had. Flashed TPMS ID yesterday with ATEQ Quickset (which now has a BRZ profile). The light flashed on start-up for several seconds then went off, so I presume it's good. Drove for ~20 this morning, no light. That's probably not enough to tell for sure though, will drive some more tonight before swapping back to stockers, no freezing temps forecast during in my commute in the next 10 days and no snow at night either.

P.S. gotta find some proper center caps, STI ones are the only ones I had in black, got the wheels w/o caps.

You know, I was surprised by this but they are indeed hub centric

Last I remember reading - you were talking of R12 ball to conical spacers. Did you find R13 version?

So is there an R13 one?
I'd appreciate a link, so that I'm ready in case another set of VW BBS pops up for sale locally.
