Better make sure they don't 'detail' it, unless you like your car's paint pre-swirled from the dealer.

That doesn't even make sense, how could it take them that long to get it ready? Make sure to check the mileage so they don't add a bunch.

Damn I am still waiting for an allocation for my whiteout 6 speed manual ordered September 26th...how does it work, does each scion dealer get to order on the 1st and 15th of the month if they have an allocation? It's looking like Xmas for me.

Well, my order was special, so I'm not sure how they do a dealership order. I think it's just based on which of the cars shipped over get sent to the different regions. At least it'll be a white Christmas for you. Sorry, had to!

You guys get it easy over there, I'll tell you that. Placed my order June 23, will recieve my car January 3, 2013, and that's because I got lucky and they found an unallocated car coming in earlier-- Otherwise it'd be mid-feb (got confirmation on that today).

BUT. I tell you, I didn't like Velocity Orange (as it's called here) at first-- and missed out on a GT because I didn't. It's growing on me!

Promise me you'll go find twisty roads and drive. Soon.

I got the car today! Sorry guys, by the time I got home from work and drove the car it was too dark to take a picture, so no updated pictures for you. I only took a short drive, but it still offered some insight.

First, this car makes me very nervous. Because I'm so used to my mazda, driving any other car makes me nervous anyways. The FR-S being brand new, and awesome, magnifies that. It will definitely take some getting used to, but it's not a bad thing. I just drove it like an old man.

The driver side blind spot is pretty intense. My drive to work tomorrow is going to be interesting. This will probably take the most getting used to.

You really can feel every bump in the road, but I'm not against that, it's just interesting.

The seats are pretty snug. Not sure how I feel about them yet.

I think the Scion allocation is once a month. Not to freak you out but I had mine ordered May 4th and received July 19th. One day before my birthday. Oh, and I work there. And white was my initial color choice.

Best of luck mate! Long live the patience!

Yeah, the contrast on the pictures was kind of off. They were all taken with a cell phone on an overcast day. I tried to doctor them up, but the contrast on the screen I was using was pretty dark so it may have screwed up the color a bit.
