My car survived... just a $#% ton of leaves, extra large ones too. A bunch of small branches hit my roof but I couldn't see any dents.

And there are SO MANY gaps and crevices for leaves to get into. Where the wipers come out, trunk hinge area, where a-pillar meets hood, windshield edges... all stuffed with leaves and crap. I've cleaned some but I will post pictures maybe but I'm sure everyone will share my pain.

My car has pine needles in places where the sun literally does not shine, but it's fine otherwise. Whew!

While you are somewhat right, heavy winds in New England is not good.

Many people live in dense wooded areas, with trees much larger than those found in Florida.

Flooding is also bad. New England is hardly set up for flood control

In northern mass/southern New Hampshire however, this hurricane did not do too much damage compared to the last one.

I can't help but wonder if you don't feel a little foolish about posting this now that we know the severity of the damage to property and life.

I don't think anyone took my comment out of the context of my area.

I see you're in Tuscon. Perhaps you would have understood my comment better if you were local and saw the Boston news stations acting like Armageddon was approaching.

My hearts and prayers goes out to those who actually got hit with the storm, but not once did I ever comment on any area outside of Boston until now. That's why this is a regional forum.
