For those of you looking for a "dimmer" light output, wire one of THESE in line to the LED strip. Its basically a dimmer that cuts power totally when turned all the way off so it doesn't drain your battery.

In terms of DIY.

Anyone know more specifically how this would connect up to power and provide a frame work as to what materials would be needed?

Does this void your warranty if you hook it up to the fuse or tap into wiring so that the footwell lighting turns on when you turn your headlights on?

Simple.
  1. Total cost of entire project (not including labor): ~under $75.00
  2. Buy wire.
  3. Buy 2 wedge sockets.
  4. Buy some plastic.
  5. Tape the center console lighter socket for power.
  6. Build a 'Y' harness of cable. Drill twist the cable. Solder connections. Wrap in Electrical tape. Enough to go from the center console to the left drivers footwell and enough to go from the center console to the right passenger footwell.
  7. Next, use my template (see below) and cut some plastic for bendable brackets. and insert wedge sockets and then bulbs into that.
  8. Mount the brackets in locations as I show below.

Get a fuse tap in the fuse block and wire the pos to a switch then the switch to all the positives on LEDs in parallel and all the grounds can go to a bolt that grounds to the frame of the car

I don't mean to be annoying, but I had no idea what any of that meant. LOL

I'm such a noob, but I also don't want to pay some excessive charge for a shop to do this. Sadly, I doubt anyone would be willing to do a video DIY of this. =(

It's really easy don't pay someone. This was the first mid I ever did to a car in my life on my old car. Check out the tech section on the oznium forums they have explanations. It's where I learned
