I don't own an FR-S or a BRZ yet, so I can only tell you that I've done it on several other vehicles I've owned over the years. It's really pretty simple though. I just remove both front seat mounting bolts and find something that works as a spacer. Of course I have to also buy two new longer bolts, but that's not a problem.

Update: I've installed the Injen intake, it has had no problems. overall, my butt dyno says there's more power and torque (minor), no bogging issue, and the exhaust and intake combo sound a bit louder.

What I did on some of my other cars is pretty simple. I just removed the bolts from each front seat bracket. Then I found something to use as a spacer to put between the floor and the bottom of the seat bracket. For example, in my Audi I used an oversized hex nut. It was big enough in diameter that the bolt would fit through the center and it supported the bottom of the seat bracket. I used just one nut on each side, which lifted the front of my seats by a little more than 3/4". You can customize the amount of lift you need by choosing bigger or smaller nuts. Or you can just stack two together for more lift. But for me, 3/4" was really all that I needed. Now I have just the right support under my thighs when my seat is adjusted all the way up in the front, thanks to the additional lift provided by the hex nut "spacers" I installed. BTW, keep in mind that you will need to buy two new bolts that are longer than the originals. |

Thanks! Will do.
In the meantime Bob @Drift-Office sorted me out with his new Ecutek AT tune. I have to say its an awesome bridge to the turbo! If you have more complex questions, you should definitely send Paul @AVOturboworld a PM or email, he'll give you the rundown on the AT. in brief summary, there's a couple small modifications that need to be done, nothing major, but a little different than the MT. I just happened to be in the right place and right time to be the first to get the AVO turbo on the AT.
