True, but when you get those Heart Foundation fliers for their big lotteries for cars and houses they always state you can take the cash equivalent. Got to be a legal reason for that.

Or that's just their policy for those types of giveaways. Most large companies who do giveaways have legal teams that know what they're doing put the rules together. A lot of the rules I've read (some of them open to US and Canada) say that they do not have to give you a cash equivalent and that they can substitute another prize of similar value if they chose to. I'm just saying that because one person does it one way, you can't really take that to mean that everyone has to do it that way. Anyway, I really didn't mean to invoke a bunch of legal debates. If anyone is concerned about having to take two cars, they usually have to verify your identity and you have to sign a legal release and things like that, so just don't return that stuff, or simply tell them that you appreciate it, but you aren't able to accept the prize in the form of a car. Don't expect them to say they will give you something else, but you don't have to accept the prize.

The thing I find weird about Canadian sweepstakes is that to win anything you have to correctly answer a simple math question.

I enter sweepstakes... a lot. Best thing I've ever won was a trip to Arizona where I got to stand on an airplane (on, not in) at about 1000ft in the air.

Good question. I entered this draw ages ago and never heard anything about it, and completely forgot about it.

I know the entry closing date was early Oct. The 12th i think..... but I forgot to check the draw date, and the Scion site doesn't have a link to the contest anymore.

Congratulations to Sebastian Belu, who won a 2013 Scion FR-S by entering into the contest. He’ll be taking delivery of a white, manual FR-S
