I am not to sure on the exact hardware, something more modernish, and with 2.1 or higher i would say. I bought a Nexus 7 for this, nice 7in screen which is big enough for quick glances while driving, also can use it for maps/nav and for music. and fairly cheap too!

I bought one BT but it didbt turn on when plug @BRZ. Tried it in a diff care and turn on just fine ...

Word of warning to people looking at this:
I don't have an FRS/BRZ but I bought one of these for 11 dollars off Ebay. It works, but the refresh rate is about 0.5Hz, so if you want to have nice gauges to look at on your phone/tablet, probably should find something known to be a little faster. |
