Yup I know, but I've been pulled over for it twice like that, and the cop didn't say anything, so I'm not worried about it.

As mentioned in this DIY thread, mine is mounted as below:

It's good to live in a state that doesn't require them.

If the Perrin is anything like my GrimmSpeed, you don't need to use the frame. Just keep the plate on there naked, so to speak.

I like it at the bottom of the grill. I hate the front chicklet tooth look or that side mount, sticks out too much IMO.

It's practically not visible from the sides, and very stealthy when walking around. I'll probably put a black frame around so it looks even better.

I'm sorry gang, I just don't get the appeal of the weird, off-centered plate.

Some people don't want holes drilled into the center of their bumpers. It's basically the lesser of two evils from that perspective.

Perhaps in the Evergreen State, but here in the Empire State, that'll get you a $115 fine every day the cops feel like harassing you.

I can certainly understand that. I guess I didn't realize those side brackets attached differently. Even then though a couple of small holes seem less obtrusive than having it flapping in the breeze out there. Ah well, we all have to make do I guess.

No license plate, no problem

What's the worst that's gonna happen... A fix-it ticket.

after getting pulled over, i mounted mine dead center as low as the plate will go and put a subtle black frame around it, it is by far the best and cheapest option, 4 black zipties just mount as low as the plate goes until it touches the bottom and tie it down....wish i could show pics, the offcenter look is an eyesore, and where mine is mounted it doesnt really effect the stock radiator flow, and i didnt drill any holes

Looking at most newer jdm tuner cars, they always mount dead center maybe at an angle and it looks the best.
