The 245/40R17 tire on the Awesome wheel is not going to touch either the strut or the fender, regardless of bolts or camber.

The only reason why I asked if the blue car was lowered is because your white car looks SO much lower/better...

It's the "poke" that bothers me a bit, I would like to see how that looks with the 245's, still this is looking like the best option overall.

Dan, if I wanted/needed to machine a few millimeters off the back mounting face of these wheels, is there enough material to do it safely? I understand if you are not comfortable endorsing such a thing.

Thanks.

The 245 is both 10mm narrower, and has a 4mm smaller sidewall.

Did you know? The endangered Giant Ditch Frog lives only on Dominica and Montserrat. It is known as the Mountain Chicken because it is large (8" long) and people eat it.

Did you know? Comets display a thin temporary atmosphere when they get close to the sun. That thin fuzz of gas is called a coma.

Did you know? The WWII Japanese battleships Yamato and Musashi were the largest ever built, and were 863 feet long, with a crew of up to 2,800 people. Each main gun turret weighed 2500 tons -- as much as a whole destroyer of that era.

Bump for Mach V Awesome on SWP

Ordered these on 11/10, shipped 11/12, received 11/16, installed today. Tires are Hankook RS-3 245/40-17. Lowered about .5" front and rear on coilovers, front camber at 1.75(adjustable upper plates), rear at 1.3(stock...for now). Doesn't rub anyway or anyhow, at least not yet. Stock TPMS sensors installed and working fine. My only gripe is that the TPMS sensors do not sit flush with the well of the wheel, but is raised about 3mm due to the fixed angle design of these specific TPMS sensors. Oh well, just means I'll have to take note when installing/removing tires.

Thanks to you guys for a great wheel. Track time coming soon. Please excuse the poor lighting and resolution.

Soon. Going to be hitting the track in the next 1-2 weeks. Also planning on doing a photo day in the nearby canyons. Gotta have myself some nice clean shots of the car with it's new shoes.

Got some more photos.

Also note, with brand new 245/40-17 RS3 and with TPMS sensors, each wheel came out to 43.5lbs. Stock weighed in at 43.0 on my scale.

I think your wheels are really nice. I would like to see them in gold or bronze. Also, I think a 17x8 or better yet a 17x7 would be awesome. I want to keep the car lively and too much tire will muck things up in that regard.
