I've placed my order already for a manual tranny, as I feel everyone should have gotten manual with this type of car. But to each their own! haha

Hhahaa I'm no dictator, everyone should just be happy with what they get but sometimes I think why not have everyone in this forum give me $100 but that's just not going to happen.

You could pitch something along the lines that by us giving you $100, it would make us happier! Just like the Simpsons episode when Homer got an autodialer and called up everyone in Springfield, Homer called himself Happy Dude - http://simpsons.wikia.com/wiki/AT-5000_Auto-dialer
"... Homer took it out of the dumpster and used it in a money scam. He eventually used it to annoy everybody in Springfield with his "Happy Dude" scam...In the closing credits, however, Homer has recorded a new message on the Auto-dialer telling everyone he scammed he is sorry and that if they can forgive him, send more money."

haha hilarious episode!

This is utter nonsense. Have you ever seen ANY Subaru transmission? They bear ZERO resemblance to 86's Aisin made unit. Subaru's transmission are made in house or by a contractor to Subaru's specific design, the basics of which have been around for ages. They have halfshafts coming out of the sides of the case near the bellhousing, and an internal center and internal front differential, all for the AWD. What, do you think they removed all of that and plugged up the holes, leaving a huge empty space inside the case? Geesh. Stop spreading misinformation.

The transmission in the 86 is most closely related to the Aisin units in the s2000, RX-8, and the IS250, but even then it only shares at maximum 20% of it's parts with any of these. In turn, these transmissions share ZERO parts with the Legacy and/or STi or WRX transmissions. It's a dedicated, rear wheel drive transmission lacking the entire AWD system that's built into and designed around in the Subaru transmissions. Heck, even the shift linkage is COMPLETELY different.

Cheers
Nathan
