Same thing for the Celica? Same thing for the Civic Si? Something for the GC? You are blowing smoke. Look at Scions lineup of all the cars under $19k and tell me how successful a $27k would be.

What do you mean it doesn't work that way. There is nothing extensive about this car that would warrant a $27k price. If it is indeed a shared chassis with Imprezza/Legacy, a reworked FB engine, some suspension parts...etc. This car is meant to be reasonably priced like the original AE86. $27k is nit reasonable and it a rip off. If that is the case count me out. Other choices for that price.

"I got this friend in Accounting, says its gonna be the next Supra!" etc.

Everything is at best just speculation at this point and at worse just made up info. Give me a press release from Toyota then I will believe it.

You hear that, Toyota? Press release! Give us one before December, dammit! And with some NEW info. Not just some reworded/regurgitated crap. Don't insult our intelligence.

Please (almost forgot that part).

No, offense rL-gT, but it's hard for me to believe it yet. Here are reason why.

Currently, I don't know the price tag gonna be. Even IF I knew, I wouldn't say it right now. Cuz it's embargo stuff. I know for the fact, SCION have several employees checking few fan sites to keep certain info under control. Miwa-san got scolded from VP of SCION for the post he made.

Now, you have paper that confirm that price tag and you actually do work for them, you better watch out and hope you have job tomorrow. If I was VP of SCION, I would totally find out who you are and where you work and fire you.

If this post sound rude, my bad... BUT I would careful how you post stuff. SPECIALLY if you know someone or do work under Toyota/SCION

You have to admit you would be skeptical of a new member with <10 posts who just joined and says they have inside info. No offense but we have heard others who said they have inside info.

2012 Civic Si is $25,990 MSRP here (unsure on how much you can haggle down on Si models). If Scion match or beat that price Honda is going to have a tough time selling the new Si after the FR-S release. $27,000 could be close and on the high side.

Why not? Similar engines, suspension, transmissions, target markets... Only extra cost is the rear diff/driveshaft.

According to Initial D (so it must be true... heh) the Civic and AE86 were natural enemies. 'Gumtape battle'. Lol...

I consulted my Ouija board and it said $24,000. This reliable information, very fresh, 2 minutes old.

Right? that's what i'm saying. Hell, if Scion doesn't understand the Initial D fans and doesnt release a Panda Color paint scheme, then i'm not buying the car! [/sarcasm]

This is true. And supported by whoever (sorry I can't remember and give credit) posted that the camo car and the clear concept have different brake caliper positions.

What this means is that the clear concept is not 100% valid for tech assumptions.

Evidence:

Camo, front caliper is mounted forward:

Clear concept, front caliper is mounted on the rear:

Jack Hollis if you are reading or one of your assistants; many of us will not buy your car if you over price it. Remember the car is meant to be priced reasonably. If you gouge us many of us have no problem walking away from it. Just don't screw us over on pricing.

Ya I kno. Ive gotta watch it.

lol. Would be cool to be hunted down from one of the top execs from Toyota.

Its all for the <3 of the car. What I was told was most likely Canadian Pricing. W/e the price is imma still get it. A 2-3 grand difference wont stop me from getting this vehicle.
