Yeah thats what I was doing for a few days but john said he is tweaking the e85 tune so probably a couple more days. My wife was like what are all these $5 charges from chevron for lol. Finally put in half tank while I wait and I can confirm my fuel tank readings and gas needle are working correctly.

John,

I finally have my BRZ back from the body shop. Thanks for being patient with me.

Ready to rock and roll!

This may be a dumb question but I just bought the e85 tune and not sure if I should have purchased or needed injectors first.

Stg 1 Tune does not need anything else, everything stock, you are good to go.

Can't wait...can't wait...can't wait...got everything just waiting for my tune...

Anyone have much experience running STG1 on a road course or autocross?

I wonder if John can alter the limitations or parameters of the traction control/VSC to:

1) reduce boiling of brake fluid with the rear brakes cutting in excessively with TC on
2) tailoring the TC to not kick in as hard or progressively
3) have a multi-stage TC that can intercede based on slip angle, load, steering angle, etc
4) set the various traction control modes so that they remain in the mode when the engine is turned off/on

Just a thought.

Instant fix = if tracking the car, hold the button down for 5 seconds and turn TC/VSC off. It would be nice to still be able to do this after moving, but think that's a no go.

It's a $25,000 car not a McLaren.

I just wanted to double check something because I got an tune file sent to me on 10/18, then after that I read that no one was suppose to flash, then I read that the only flashing that should be going on was to stock or an updated tune file. I have still never flashed any tune to my car. The file that I have is RR-10895-ZA1J700C-STG1 v1.07 FED-A-6AB8F6.BIN Does anyone know if it is safe to flash this tune to my car? Thanks in advance for any help!

RR-10895-ZA1J700C-STG1 STOCK INTAKE v1.07 FED-A is what I got from John last--with the instructions to flash back to stock, then to this tune. This was Tuesday and considered a safe racerom tune (post bad-flash issues).

Just checked Johns post to make sure I wasn't crazy, but yeah that's same RR version (10895) and same Tune version (1.07)

Edit: *** Keep in mind though, if I'm not mistaken we are all in beta right now for new flashes. Unless I missed a post by John, I think Ecutek is expecting a small percentage of flashes to fail (haven't 100% nailed down the problem), but they can recover them remotely without mailing ECU.

With what happened at ACS during the 86Fest, I'd be weary if Mclaren's TC setup would help much either, lol.

I've had my car on track, and had zero issues with wheel spin, slow corners, fast corners, etc. That was with TC off. The car just doesn't make enough power for that to be a big concern. I actually wanted more wheel spin in the slower sections.

That is good to hear, I'm taking my car to the track for the first time with the new tune this sunday. Other then my Afe intake, the car is bone stock.
