I like them, including the red stripe; but I have a red FRS so it kind of matches. Wish they weren't $3800 though. That's hard to stomach.

The TRD seats above is a re-styled special variation of the BRIDE Stradia II.
Made by BRIDE JAPAN. And these are $1600~$2100 depending on options each, and brackets are an additional $180 per side. So you are looking at nearly $4000 a pair for the BRIDE JAPAN seats that they are restyled from. So the TRD price of $3400 a pair if you claim is true, is actually not too far off, and is reasonable considering they are made with the same certifications for safety as Bride Stradia in collision, impact, and flame retardant, in most racing sanctions as well as local public road regulations standards.

These seats this time, was the first to be made by BRIDE. And it was chosen because so much of Japanese tuner cars were adorned and relied upon with BRIDE JAPAN, and the Chief Engineer, as well as Product Planning team felt that this was more natural for the buyers and fans of the Toyota 86, and know more about fitment for Japanese buyers and engineered with construction that's matched to Japanese cars. It took a LOT of convincing and arm-twisting at the Toyota HQ though, it was said, to make a new seat brand available for just a single model, and Bride went through a very rigorous and expensive testing program to be certified by Toyota for use as OEM dealer part, which are not only for safety (which BRIDE had met and exceeded already with Stradia) but for TOYOTA's own certifications that includes sun-fade, allergens, fabric safety, structural impact compatibility with the 86/BRZ, driver position adjustments, etc... Tons of expensive 3rd party tests... But Bride was honored at the opportunity, and they went with the heap of rigors to come out victorious to the nay-sayers and became the preferred seats for TRD this time. And it is this type of exemplary assurance, and willingness to expend and collaborate with R&D at great expense, that we should ALL be buying REAL certified TRD and BRIDE seats. THere are lots of replica seats floating about, and they do not meet any certifications and are reverse engineered clones made from cheaper parts and materials. Those replicas catch fire, they fail in impact, and they flex under load, and do not serve any real purpose besides to ruin your car. Always buy from authorized retailers. In the USA they are LOTS USA and CUSCO USA for Bride JAPAN seats, and retailers that are authorized by these two firms. And they are very close to Retail MSRP and never more than 10% off from that... Anything cheaper, assume it is a replica unless it's used.
