They're allen wrench type sockets, however I used a torx because I didn't have the right size allen wrench. Still worked perfectly fine.

the tranny and differential fill and drain plugs are all 10mm socket-type bolts. You'll need at minimum a 10mm hex wrench, or better yet a 10mm hex socket bit (you know, for correct torques and whatnot).

edit- and the aero tray bolts are all normal 10mm bolts. A few along the forward edge are 12mm, but they do not need to be removed.

I thought about the MT-85. Honestly, I have no problem with the MT90 in there now. It just takes a little longer to get up to temp. I have a quart of MTL (75W80) here that I'm not doing anything with. I could try draining a quart and adding that when it gets colder out. If it makes a difference, I'll know it wants a thinner oil (at least for the winter).

Track was also wet, so I didn't get to push the brakes too hard.

We will change the fluids during our brake upgrade stage, for now we want to push the car in stock form.

Gotcha, thanks. Everyone says that about the tires; a lot of people go with Star Specs. Apparently you can fit a full set of wheels/tires in the back and still have space for tools and gear

Some of the goods we used.


Removed the OEM oil filter with K&N high performance filter.
The filter is slightly taller by about 1/4"
The oil was fairly clean, with no unusual contaminants. The magnetic drain plug did a good job collecting small particulates.
We used exactly 5.5 quarts of Amsoil 0w20.


Remove the Undertray to access the transmission.


Remove drain and fill plugs:


Transmission had a good amount of particulates that came out...normal for a new tran. Oil was dark brown still translucent.
Helps if your trans is warm for the fluid to drain easily.
We used about 2.6 quarts of Redline MT90


Next is the rear diff.


Also helps here to warm up the fluid to drain more easily.
You can see how much small particulates collected on the magnetic drain plug.
We used about 1.25 quarts of the Motul Gear 300

maybe a dumb question but how many magnetic drain plugs do you have on the car? one for the oil pan, tranny and rear diff?

I'm thinking its because Motul Gear 300 is GL-4 and GL-5. It contains higher amount of extreme pressure agents (EP) which contain sulfer-phosphorus compounds that is not good with yellow metals often found in synchronizers.
