Ugh, no panoramic roof please.... that thing felt like a death trap in the tC.

Maybe you could tape 8 of the FT-86s together and get that kind of feel?

How can they put in a moonroof if the roof has the gullwing door contour lines in it? will they make a new roof design just to have a moonroof option? both SOA blog AND moto said no moonroof thus far so im inclined to believe that it may not even be an option. it adds weight, adds cost, etc.

i personally want a light aluminum roof and that's it. if you want a moonroof and its really that important to you, get a tC...

T-Tops because of that roof contour.

I don't know about you guys, but I wonder if I can drop a twin-turbo LS9 in the FR-S.

[insert endless comments about pushrods and torque ruining the "heritage" or "balance" or "character" or "soul" of the car.]

Good luck with that. Lessee....a $150K+ car that has basically been in development for a couple of decades, from what is arguably the world's premier non-boutique sports car manufacturer, versus a $25k car from a mass-market firm, a car that's only been in development for 3 years... You'd probably have to spend as much as the FR-S costs again to get it anywhere close to a base 911 let alone a GT3.

Just driving my father's vintage 70's 911, which doesn't even play in the same league as the GT3, is an incredible experience. If the FR-S can capture 1/2 of that pure car-sex sensation OTD I'll be very impressed.

Former targa owner. No thanks.

Oh, if anyone in Van wants to get started on their EJ swap: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...496881174.html

Shortblock, but all that extra stuff will likely need to be custom fabbed anyways...

Please leave the roof alone, not even a damn sunroof. I'll never forget when I first got my RX. I took a friend of mine out for a drive to show it off on NJ-55 and just as we were creeping up to 130 the god damn sun roof literally lifted off the car never to be seen again. Talk about crap your pants, one second all you could hear was the motor/exhaust and the next it was like standing next to a jet engine.

No targa top, no t-tops, no sunroof. Please.

Lol why are you guys talking about a sunroof? We just learned that they are removing the CD player and Nav to cut weight... Do I really need to explain what that means in regards to the car having a sunroof...
