If you decide to flash back to stock, let's us know it goes. You'll be doing it from home this time ?

I'm never flashing anywhere else haha. I like the tune the car feels way better just the high idle freaked me out a bit. bogging I'm hoping was a one time thing maybe ecu still learning or something cause I can replicate it so far.

The high idle drops down for me after it's warm. Yeah not happy about being back on stock file, tune is much more exciting

Pretty cool mornings around here lately, long range forcast into next week shows lows of -17 celcius

It goes away. It takes a day or so, for me anyway, after I flash the car then I can start to feel things get better. Then they get REALLY good and then taper back a bit. I'd say its just the learning curve of the ECU.

Still in learning mode - drive it around some more.

Here's the test to see if it bogs without a proper intake tune:

Start out in first going about 5 MPH (basically coasting), then jam on the gas - floor the sucker. If it smoothly accelerates all the way through the tach, then you're good to go.

If it starts to sputter and bog like it's running out of fuel or air, congrats, you've got an aftermarket intake that needs additional ECUTek tweaking. Capture some logs of some 2000-7000 pulls, send it in to John, get a tweaked file, reflash it, retry the test.

pull the cruise control lever towards you until the rpm goes to 1k afterwards switch between maps via lever up or down rpm will move from 1k thru 4k letting you know which map you are on

I tried this and it didn't bog but on my way back from grabbing some paint it did it as I was coming up a hill. Very very random. I may just remove my intake and switch back to stock given that I will most likely go turbo in the future if not I will log some data and send it John's way

If it seems erratic, the ECU might still be learning - how many miles have you put on it since flashing?

Thumbs up Great Googly Moogly

John
The newest Automatic Transmission Tune is fantastic!
It pulls so much harder than the previous tune.
The stock intake works perfectly.
The idle is smooth as silk, any throttle input is instantaneous.
Torque hump, other than 1st gear, what torque hump? It's gone.

The laying over at 6200-6300 rpm is nonexistent since returning to stock intake.
Boy did I make a mistake buying an Airaid,
They should rename it Airdoesnotaid above 6200rpm

After flash I always allow 10 minutes of idle, never had an issue with a mushy pedal.

Doesn't John have to give us a thirty day notice before he takes off for four hours?
