Am I the only one that has taken the headrest off? I can't stand that thing. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it makes the blind spots on the car even worse because when you turn your head, your face is still in the seat.

How are you guys dealing with the blind spots?

That was my only complaint driving, the headrest needs to be back a touch further. It just pushes my head forward a tiny bit and I prefer to have it back further so it's just there to support my head when it's needed but I can move my head around without any restriction normally.

Good point!

Why don't you reverse it so it will still give you some support from whiplash? It's designed that way to accomodate a helmet at the track after all.

Careful taking the headrest off. It's part of the mandated safety equipment. Removing it might void your accident insurance and/or get you a ticket. (edit: not to mention making whiplash an almost certainty in a collision)

But what I really wanted to say is that you can minimize if not completely remove the blind spots with strategically adjusted mirrors. As you're noticing, this is particularly relevant on small cars and even more so on sports cars. There are countless articles on how to do it; here's one:

I just raised the headrest and it no longer is an issue. No issues with blindspots, mirrors cover most and look out window for rest.

I noticed when i'm in traffic people tend to stay far away from me, like at awkward distances even for bumper to bumper traffic. Its quite odd, either i'm a bad driver or its the car.
Or i'm just going slowly nuts... daily traffic does that to you.

I love the startup note of the car! But am I the only one who thinks it sounds diesel-like when rolling slow?

I'm dating myself with the "speed of plaid" reference. Hopefully another Mel Brooks fan can help you here. What I meant by that reference though is that doing a fast speed in this car feels 10x faster than doing that same speed in a faster car.
May the Schwartz be with you!

I can't drive any other cars now. Even our 05 Tc makes me feel like I'm sitting so high I'm in a school bus. Every other car just feels so awkward now.

It's way to easy to rack up mileage because it is just that driver accommodating. (When not dealing with cel)

I'm not a fan of the auto dimming mirror but it sounded good on paper.

this car is awesome and drives well on the streets but i feel handicap on the freeway lol it feels like its such an effort for the car to travel at speeds above 75ish. probably due to the gearing the revs are so high up just keeping up with traffic. you see regular family sedans, minivans, and suvs effortlessly pass by you are are like wtf
