A quick thread search for "Scavenge pump" will have in one of the top results, the video with the pump and all the discussion about it.

Did what you suggested read all the post I already read over again from the first time I search. Still don't see any post as to location, how it is driven. AVO hints it us mechanical but don't come right out and say it. I was looming for these details which are not in this thread that I can find. Gotta love how everyone loves to just say search instead of thinking that if I found my way to and watched the video. I am smart enough to read the comments after it as well..

Seeing limits of stock MAP sensor as 5psi, help me to understand:

these 250whp and 222ft/lbs are being reached with what exhaust exactly?

I've seen this car has your catback - what about the other parts? ( front pipe, etc )

The reason why I ask is I will be having an aftermarket front pipe & mid pipe & rear section - so which numbers could I be hoping for staying with stock MAP sensor ?

I mean will the more freeflow exhaust help in squeezing more power, despite staying on the same 5psi limit or not?

I'd love to have something closer to 300whp\250ftlbs

thanks!
Mike

They posted a pic and a vid. It certainly did not look mechanical to me.

Why don't you just swap out the MAP and call it a day? And I believe their numbers were made with their exhaust.

I'm just eager to see the options ) Seems like 8 psi sensor will be a bless

I know these numbers were reached with AVO's manifold, " shorty overpipe", midpipe&muffler

But there was nothing said reg the FRONT PIPE - was it catless or catted or left stock by some chance?

BTW, the exhaust section on the AVO shop is still empty, so that's why I ask

A further teaser - there are no wires connected to this pump...
Also how can it not be a mechanical they stated it has no wires connected. I am not a electrical engineer but in order for power to get from a battery/alternator there has be at least two wire going to electric motor power and ground. This is why I am looking for clarification on the detail of the scavenger pump. Including location of the actual pump details of the wiring locations of the oil reservoir which I believe is mounted to the left of the turbo.

The secondary cat (front pipe) was left stock. So it retains one cat in the system post turbo. From the mid-pipe back is a resonated AVO exhaust system. We've not yet announced it officially - though the muffler is done - because we are still experimenting with best sizing for N/A and Turbo setups. Right now, we are seeing better hp numbers for N/A vehicles with a smaller diameter mid-pipe setup, and better hp numbers for the turbo vehicle with a larger diameter mid-pipe setup.

That is correct, that picture is of an oil reservoir tank.

The oil pump is mechanical, fully. And that's the final detail we will unveil when we are at SEMA. It's the most unique feature of the kit, and one of the reasons it's going to be so reliable.
