Got "the nod" from the chauffeur of a maybach stuck in traffic in NYC on my right side, I gave him the same as that was amazing to see in personish...and on my left a cute young couple dropped jaws inside their mercedes and said "that's a beautiful car what is it?" Debadging was the most fun thing I've done to this car, glad to have it back.

Had a new red Camero drive all around me on the dirty jersey turn pike, we had fun leap frog times til they dipped off!

Took my gramps bowling in ct and watched a truck drive past my parked car in the lot, stop, reverse, and stare for a good 5 min.

Great stories!! A Maybach, no less. Plenty of high-end cars in my area, even the occasional Bentley or Rolls, but never seen a Maybach in person.

What's your gramps' reaction to your car? (And great to hear you've got it back; I've gotten behind on following the CEL thread.)

I was parking my car one night after work and a guy stopped me to ask if he could check it out. I said sure and we spoke cars for a bit and then I noticed a red Ferrari 550 Maranello parked across the street. Asked him if it was his by any chance and he said yes. Awesome feeling to have a car even Ferrari owners are interested in

I arrived @ their door @ 2 am so not too much to say that late. But my dad has an old forester and was so shocked at the looks of this subie! They all loved it. My dad can't get over how it looks just like a race car and my grandfather was excited to ride in it even proud to show it off . But once you open the hood its the same story. "You never see the ground anymore with these new cars. I remember when you'd open the hood and all you saw was engine and the ground."
I remember that too, and I have to agree there is just too much going on in cars these days. I pointed out the noise generater and we all had a good laugh!

That maybach blew my mind! I was wondering why the windows weren't tinted then I googled the price, shit I'd want everyone to see my ass in the back too!
He was driving 2 really stuffy white folks reading books. Too rich for my blood but neat to see.

Both car shows that I have taken the car to, its been the only FR-S and so far everyone has loved it.

I'm thankfull I spent the time doing my homework on the car because I was inundated with questions!

Haha so true about seeing the ground! I love going to car shows for old(er) cars and seeing how it used to be done and hearing all the stories.

Had a prior M3 now Audi A6 owner ask me if it was "around $40k". I chuckled.

let hubby drive it yesterday, stopped at auto zone for a clay bar during the local high-school freshmens car meet...some tool slipped a rude sounding "nice tc" or some stupid thing like that.....HATERS JUST JEALOUS! I just worry b/c it's those kind of kids that will mess with your car as soon as you go in the store.
