My last g/f was definitely not a lesbian, though she did fondly refer to her Subie as "the lesbian-mobile" so I'd say that gets half credit...

I've said it before and I will say it again. I don't want any logos for the car company on the car. They have a marketing department for advertising. My biggest gripe is that the awful flat spot on the nose of the twins for their stupid logos.

a manufacturer can only do so much but it's up to its fans and buyers to change that view. so if you dont like it, change it.

OP, the letter was nicely addressed, in a very mature way as well. It was nice hearing your opinion! Happy for you that it was published!
Since Scion is a marque of Toyota, I never understood--and I still don't--why people disliked it being badged as one. Most non-86 enthusiasts (who aren't fanboys of another car), in other words, regular civilians, still praise the car for its looks, despite the badge. Every Scion ever made, except the first gen tC, is just a rebadged Toyota from Japan or Europe's market. I've always looked at the Scion xA as the Toyota Ist, just like how I looked at the previous Lexus RX's as the Toyota Harrier. xB as the bB, xD as the newer Ist/Urban Cruiser, tC mk2 as the Zelas, iQ as iQ, and now the FR-S as the 86/GT86. In other words, the Scion brand has always been invisible to me so I guess that's why I see no problem in Toyota badging the car as a Scion.

Totally agree. That's why EVERY Scion logo is gone and replaced with the T. My registration in Cali says Toyota too

OK, so i understand that Toyota made some cars that you consider "iconic"
But i really don't get this stupid hate vs the Scion Brand at all. Think about it, you want a Toyota badge instead... because nothing screams passion like the brand that is mostly identified with appliances like the Camry and Prius right? |

I would've bit the bullet and bought a "Scion FR-S" if it had been brought over as a Scion 86 GT Limited, but it wasn't and that's the point that he and I agree upon and many others do.
