Considering the Moda MD10 in 16" as a winter wheel. 5x100 fits the WRX so is it safe to assume the bore is correct?

^Yes, these cars use the standard Subaru hub bore of 56.1mm. If the wheel's bore is larger, you should get hubcentric rings that adapt the two sizes.

18x9 Rota G-Forces with a 35+ offset running on 245/40 or 245/35s would they fit ? not looking for a crazy stretch since i live in NY with the pothole all over ? stock height and alignment ? rubbing issues ? ******

The wheels will fit fine, the tires will likely poke out from the fenders a tad, but not nearly enough to rub at stock height, and it'll look beefy. I would stick with 245/35. A 245/40 sidewall is even taller than stock, plus you're adding an inch of wheel diameter on top.

You want to stay with a tire close to stock diameter or it will either look way off and/or your speedometer/odometer will be even less accurate than they already are.

Turns out my dads friend has some CR kais 17X8 +32 still in the box. His son might use them on his 2008 WRX if they fit, if not they will be up for sale.

Will this setup be pretty good on the stock 215s and aftermarket springs? Long term id like another set of wheels and coils.

IMHO I wouldn't use the stock tires on anything other than stock wheels

Need expert opinion or advice on a question

I have some winter tires from my previous vehicle that are still quite good and was tempted to try them. They are 205/60R16. Will these work or be too big? Would be nice if at worst I could just buy another set of rims for the time being.

That tire is just over an inch taller in overall diameter than 215/45R17 so they should fit if you aren't lowered. Do you have 16" 5x100 wheels?

I don't think you can fit a 16" wheels on there bro. The factory 17's barely clear the brakes as it is. Not sure why you'd want to drop down to 16's???? Should be looking to go up to 18's...imo

16's fit, some of the lower end models overseas come with them, not sure why you would recommend 18's for winter tires i guess you didn't read the whole post.

in fact 15s can fit, not all but with proper offset and width it can be done.

I will be running 15x6.5 for the winter

I'm yet to see a single clear/clean fitment.
I know what you're referring to, but until there are proper lugs/spacers it's not a viable option.

To OP: this is the size I'm contemplating. I'd hesitant though, since it will be quite boat-like and I'm not sure I can take it for a couple of month.
The alternative for me is 215/55/16. There are some X-Ice Xi3's in that size.
Already procured a set of OEM wheels of a forester, just gotta spin'em this week to make sure they're straight.

Sorry if this has been asked already but I haven't been able to find the exact same situation posted previously. My car won't be here for another 3 weeks but a coworker has a pair of rims that I can buy for dirt cheap, I'm just looking to confirm they will fit before I fork over the cheddar. The rims are 18x9.5 with a +40 offset front and rear. I have no plans to lower the car anytime soon. Currently he has 225's on it but they are way too stretched for my liking, I was thinking more along the line's of 245 or 255 on all 4 wheels. Any ideas on if this will fit without rubbing? I'm open to rolling the fenders or adding some camber, just concerned about the fit up front.
