Hi guys. Just want someone to confirm with me that we can flash the car now. The only catch is we have to update the program once a day right? Thanks

You don't have to update the software every day. Just once. You will only have to update it again when they have made changes. It usually prompts you every 30 days to check for updates.

Nice vid. You're using an Asus X401a laptop aren't you? I bought the same one just to use on the car. LOL. I upgraded to 8GB RAM and an SSD though which made a big difference in performance.

John has recommended that you check every time you're about to flash the car.

Send a message via AIM to Visconti
Another busy day - Thanks for filling out this new form.

This form really makes it easier to track orders and issues.

Visconti Tuning Request Form

I have a few hours of work to do before I can get cracking at this form.

But quickly looking I see lots of small issues that I can resolved right of way.

Thanks

John

Thanks.

Yeah. It was cheap, It's a little slow, but I don't need the performance for it.

It's definitely a little slow, but if you keep an eye out you can pick up memory and a nice SSD for around $200 and it speeds things up nicely. I picked up a Samsung 830 256GB SSD and 8MB Kingston memory for that price. There's a youtube video on how to do the upgrade if you choose to go that route. A side benefit of the SSD is no moving parts so if you're data logging and hit some bumps in the road, you don't risk having the HD needle bounce around and damaged the disc.

The only real issue is that the stock fuel gauge would read zero out of the blue. I filled out the form. Tune seems pretty good so far. Thanks!

Flat Foot shit work if you have the gas matted. Lift even the tiniest bit and you bounce off the rev limiter.

Map switching works. Pull lever back toward driver, wait until tach points to number corresponding to map I'm presently running. Push lever up or down to change maps, and pull lever toward me again to set the map.

Auto blip is not rev matching, as I understand it. I've had the car blip once and I wasn't paying full attention to where my feet were so I don't yet know what I'm doing wrong. I've tried many times to do what I've seen in the video. Feelin' a little stupid about this one.

Launch control doesn't seem to work. I've tried in all four maps and every time I just bounce off the rev limiter. I'm wondering if there's more to this, such as some way to turn it on within the map. But that doesn't seem to fit with everything else.

A/F and tank % are working, just not correctly. My cluster reads in liters/100 kilometers. If I do the conversions from L/100km's to mpg(US)the numbers work properly. As it is, I just filled up and I'm showing 2.4 which would equal 98% fuel in the tank. Under WOT I'm showing 18.4-18.8 which is 12.7-12.5 air fuel ratio.
@Visconti, if you or if ECUTEK needs a Canadain cluster, to test conversion software, shoot me a PM.
Update

I was playing with the auto blip on the way home, it's working fine. The problem was my driving habits. I always disengage the clutch before I press the brakes.

To get auto blip to work while driving let go of the gas, press the brake and then push in the clutch. I don't know yet if it's rev matching or just giving a blip but I have noticed the revs going to different rpms at the end of the blip.

I didn't have time to try anything else with the launch control.
