I wasn't saying the Recaro was more "FR-S-like" than the Bride, I was showing another style of the Recaro that more closely-matched the FR-S's interior. Make sense?

those seats wouldnt work anyways since you would be required to have a fixed back seat. these aftermarket recliners never made much sense to me.

Here's a more FR-S-like pattern:

that is ugly in the sexiest of ways. the only uglier/sexier seats i think ive seen are whatever comes stock in the rs6 iirc. so future

Any idea how much??
I wonder what weight difference is between the stock and those Brides.

The stock driver's seat weighs in at 20 kilograms. The Reims Edition Stradia II is 15.6 kg, whereas the carbon-fiber Stradia II is only 12 kg. But the prices on both of them are near enough the same as to make no difference: ¥157,500 MSRP for Reims, ¥165,900 for carbon-fiber... or about $2,000, after yen conversion, shipping, customs duties, etc...

Are you 100% sure? The side area that connects to the rails look different. The bolsters look different as well but that might be due to the picture angle

The TRD seats seem to have fabric on the back of the seat, like the Reims Edition Stradia II's, but no fabric on the sides like a standard Stradia II. Here are some of the better pictures I could find of the TRD, a Reims, and a standard Stradia II (my apologies in advance for the size, but I want them to be clear). Compare where the seat back meets the bottom of the seat, as well as the rail connections, split in the lower cushion, and stitching patterns on the TRD and standard Stradia II (the Reims has a slightly different backrest pattern)...

TRD

another...

Standard Stradia II

Stradia II Reims

We won't know with 100% certainty that they're the same till they're released, and somebody gets some stateside, but I'm certain enough of the fact that I ordered a Bride Stradia II in black carbon fiber and a TRD seat rail w/ airbag canceler. Once they get here (probably later next month) I'll let you guys know for sure if it all works together. Guinea Pig powers... activate!

Those seats are sooo nice. i like those TRD ones, I also like the Bride ones. But for now because there's nothing wrong with the stock seats, and you know the old saying, if it aitn broke, dont fix it. but nice that they are making some really, nice classy clean look to the not supper cars its like the new Eight Six is revolutionary to the car industry.

This is going to sound like such an incredibly dumb primary reason for me to be upgrading (and I'm sure someone will have a smartass post criticizing me for it), but I'm changing out my driver's seat for the Bride because I can't stand the headrests on the stock seats. The best position I've found still has me in severe neck pain after even short drives.

But I also had Bride buckets in my old FD3S, and LOVED them. Figure for the cost of upgrading I'm getting increased comfort, good looks (especially with the carbon-fiber shell), lighter weight, and better track-day holding. Sadly have to give up side-airbags for it, but oh well...

I've heard that complaint several times. I have no issues as I would have to tilt my head back to even touch the headrest, but you are certainly not the first to say this.

Awesome research TuxedoCartman! I really do hope the Stradia and Gias can bolt up to the TRD seat rail since it comes with the air bag canceller. I like the fact the Stradia and Gias has so many options and they even have a cheaper "sport" variant.
