However it has been copy/pasted. It has a circle and arrow drawn on and has been cropped and then made part of a larger image.

aww, the guy doesnt have any ill will, he's just trying push some generic led bulbs and doesn't understand how to properly go about acquiring original product photos (it usually involves not using google).

i'd see if you can get a discount or free set out of him, but I don't really see the big ass deal.

Keep us updated on what you decide to do. Personaly i would email him and see what he says maybe he will apologize and ask for your permission to use it and all will be good.

Yeah, usually they rape the dog and kill the wife first, then take it full circle.

I emailed him. Told him I was thinking of getting some LEDs and asked if he'd like to sponsor my car. We'll see what happens. I'm more flattered than pissed, it is just a picture, and there's no real harm in it. But he is making money off of my photo, so we'll see what happens.

I won't be getting a lawyer though. And I don't have a dog, or a wife.

something tells me he might even be on this site and that's why he changed the image.

I wouldn't have had a problem if he was trying to sell something that I actually had on my car. Yes, I know that I have no case. That wasn't my point.

This happened a lot on srtforums when I was on there, usually the sellers didn't give a shit and left up the pictures. This is why photographers watermark their photos.
