Would you guys have any objection to me bringing a friend?
He's not an 86 owner, but a true Toyota fan. I think he'll be in his 98 Celica GT.
At least that would be the logical choice out of his current line up.

So, 9:00 AM @ Cracker Barrel in Romeoville?
Do we want to grub and then roll out or just meet there.

Personally I would prefer we leave for Starved rock no later than 9:00am. We're about 2 hours away from starved rock at that point and I reason the later we leave the more traffic will be on the road...

(I'm not really too sure about his, if anyone knows more then please chime in)

The 9:00am time works perfectly. Anyone who wants some grub at the cracker barrel can show up earlier. Anyone else who's going to eat breakfast at home or wants to sleep in a little can show up 9:00am and we'll leave from there.

A few other things for everyone.

> There was a pretty good state police presence on 80 a couple of weeks ago. I will have a V1 installed in my car, however, let's keep a "reasonable" pace because a caravan of FR-S' will be drawing enough attention to ourselves and they were using mostly Lidar (ie NO warning).

> Heavy Rains are forecast for Tomorrow. Combine that will falling leaves and the conditions for going thru on Rt. 71 this Sunday might be less then ideal. There's a hairpin on the "downhill" route (eastbound) towards the end that's particularly difficult. Please be safe and drive within your ability.

> In Starved Rock state park itself there's a bar/restruant in the Lodge which overlooks some nice views; might be a good place to get a beer or a bite to eat.

Works for me and all points noted.
I sure hope it doesn't rain Sunday. Looks like my plans for the 24 Hours of Lemons might be a bust tomorrow.
Maybe I'll invest in a rain Poncho tonight...

If it weren't for the rain, I'd join you guys. In Chicago for the weekend, but not a fan of driving roads I don't know in the rain. Will probably still to drive this road Monday morning on my way back to Michigan.
