Screw that dude, keep the car stock! Enjoy the simplicity of the car for what it is, and mod the FR-S instead. Stay away from Club4AG's classified ads or you'll quickly find yourself turning your nice little SR5 daily driver into a money pit. Modding old Toyotas (especially Corollas) is worse than a drug addiction! I'm tellin' ya, Charlie Sheen started doing blow just to slow himself down from modding Corollas.

Haha so true. I've had a few of those 'must resist' moments this week when i saw some interesting parts. But i'm trying to save some cash so i'll have to be patient.

Dude, I got lucky. I bought an '85 GT-S coupe for $700US; it was absolutely ruined. I got as far as buying a j.blood carbon hood for it then I stopped, looked at the car, looked at the FR-S and BRZ production photos (this was right around March), put it for sale on Craigslist and washed my hands of that mess. Sold it to some crazy kid with four, yes, four other AE86's. Now I just have the MR2, and I'm slowly clawing myself away from dumping tons of money into it.

Nice SR5! I had an SR5 once, it was so slow, it would barely go up hills! Got good mileage though.

I'm goin to have to subscribe to my own thread and fight the urge to mod, I have to get better carbs to get the car decent to drive on the highway. I want to definitely keep it low profile. There are tons of 86's modded with tons on money poured in. Good looking out?

smart thinking . i did the same thing and bought a 96 celica the same time i got my frs back in May. less than 3000 miles on the frs so far but every mile was dedicated and prepared for fun driving thanks to the daily driver!
