WMI will allow you to run higher octane and their for run more advanced timing but you will not get the increase energie from burning E85 at stochio AF of 0,85 O2 sensor reading. Because car use O2 sensor reading to set this at 0,85 it mean that their is 0,15 unburn oxygen so about 12.5:1 AF if running gazoline and 6.9:1 when running E85.

Oh forgot With O2 reading 1 is perfect efficiency stochio and 0,85 is Torque stochio so power stochio as power is directly link to torque and rpm

Read this below taken form this post http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=803341

"Ethanol specific energy at stoichiometric fuel air mixtures is actually higher than gasoline allowing a higher release of energy per lb of air burned than gasoline.

Typical gasoline Thermal energy 19,000 BTU/lb max power fuel air mixture 12.5:1
Typical E85 Thermal energy 13,475 BTU/lb max power fuel air mixture 6.975:1
Typical ethanol Thermal energy 12,500 BTU/lb 6.429:1

If you are consuming 100 lbs of air, lets see how much fuel energy you release for each of these fuels using gasoline as the base 100% reference.
100/12.5 = 8 lbs of gasoline @ 19,000 BTU/lb = 152,000 BTU = 100%
100/6.975 = 14.337 lbs of E85 @ 13,475 BTU/lb = 193,189.9 BTU = 127% more heat energy
100/6.429 = 15.555 lbs of Ethanol @ 12,500 BTU/lb = 194431.5 BTU = 128.9% more heat energy

Typical fuel energy contents:
gallon of gasoline = 125,000 Btu
1 gallon of ethanol = 84,400 Btu
1 gallon methanol = 62,800 Btu "

he's on a flight back from LAX. someone posted earlier in the thread that he'd be working on getting all the tune files rebuilt in-flight and emailing them when he lands, although i didn't see whether or not Visconti confirmed that.

@Visconti: I'm shopping for an intake and saw your comment about the AFE. Do you recommend this over the Injen intake that showed better results in the Intake Shootout thread?

No intake is really showing anything worth it at this point. He likes AFE only because of the fit and finish. It did show a slight improvement on E85 vs the others. I have the AFE and although its pretty, I coudln't feel much of a difference at all. It will require more of a tune over his base stg1 tune as well.

Gotcha. I was just going off of the results shown in the shootout thread.

AVO: 4WHP / 3TQ
Airaid: -16WHP / -10TQ (wow)
AFE: 5WHP / 4TQ
Injen: 12WHP / 10TQ

See: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19413

The AFE is definitely the best-looking out of the bunch!

Correct, however, these test's were done on a stock tune. Most of the power gained by these are from leaning out the A/F mixture. Once tuned, the intakes did not show any aditional help.

Shucks. I was looking for a wee bit more out of my V-tune.
