The current FB20 makes 148hp/145ftlb @ 6000, and even if Subaru manages to shorten the stroke for the engine thats sits in the 86..just slightly to raise the RPM limit and lower the TQ band, the new narrow DOHC heads with D4-S and possibly an AVCS/VVTi will make up for it. FB25 makes 170hp/174ftlb

A conventional inline-4 with 150hp @6000rpm would typically produce 125-130ftlb....
There's a big difference between an engine that peaks its HP at 6000rpm and one that peaks at 7000rpm. If Toyota/Subaru indeed makes the engine a peaky, high (and free) revving engine, I don't see how you would expect exact same torque and hp numbers. Granted, I'll give you the torque estimate I gave was purely based off the standard formula (and nothing else), but I would be completely floored to find out that my 7500rpm redline racy engine made the same torque as hp.

BTW we haven't received any BHP numbers at all period. Everything the engineers have suggested was in PS and 200PS is 198BHP.

Just sayin' .

Dude Levi can you stop I usually don't participate in these fights but every single thread you complain about how this is not going to be a 20-25k car that is as good as a 50k car. It's pretty annoying when half the threads I read are littered with junk like that.
