Ugh I hate that lol. Even my ex-manager who's way into cars was like, "You got the new Skyon?" I was like, "er...yes."

Can't say I have other people's reactions to my FR-S because I still don't have it, but I can give my own reaction to seeing one. I left work today and about a block away from the building I work in, parked right on the road I walk down everyday, was a hot lava FR-S. I swear, someone is officially laughing at me now.
My reaction? Pissed and jealous. XD

i'm a volunteer lecturer at a nearby college for kids from underprivileged backgrounds, and i got mobbed by a bunch of girls today leaving class. Apparently the students had been wondering who's car it was in the parking lot. Last week, the guys from my class found out and asked to take pictures. This week the girls were waiting for me when i left.

I was driving into a restaurant parking lot. Three chicks saw my car from the rear and I overheard them talking.
"That's such a pretty car. Ferrari?" "What is it?" "Oh it's a scion? THAT'S A SCION? It's so nice!" My face when I heard this. |

Drove up to the Round Barn near Gettysburg PA last Saturday to get some apples (thin excuse to drive the car of course). As we park and get out of the car, a Toyota SUV parks next to me and the guy gets out and says "You been drifting that thing much?". I laughed and told him that it had less than a thousand miles on it and I hadn't even turned the traction control off yet. We had a nice discussion about the car, about which he seemed to know just about everything anyway.
By the way, the apples (local red delicious) are incredible. |

Yesterday I picked my father up at a shop that specializes in Vettes to have to top on his convertible looked at. They have a lot of older Vettes and hot rods in addition to modern Vettes in the shop. The owner is an old school hot rod guy.
I was a little surprised when he asked me about my car. He said he kept walking by it as I was outside waiting for my dad to show up and was taken back by the car. He asked what kind of Toyota it was. I explained the whole Toyota 86 sold as a scion thing. He said whoever makes it it was a "slick" looking car. Felt cool to get props from a hot rod guy on a JDM ride. |

Ok quick backstory I go to this area called Federal Hill its basiclly little italy. The whole street is hookah bars, Cigar Bars, Bars, Clubs, Resturants and its more highend proper dress. At night during the nice weather you see a lot of Benz, BMW, Lambo, Porsche and other highline cars and the only parking on this street is valet. I use to work for Mercedes so I know a lot of the bar owners and what not from coming into the dealership and there are never any problems because of the upscaleness of bars.
ANYWAY I go down on the weekend and since getting my FRS when the Valets park my car it is funny to watch as they usually move a car in front of the bar I go to and park mine right in front as people stare out to figure out what kind of car it is. Mentioning above that I know the owner makes it even more amusing cause now people as stated before think its some type of ferrari or something. I have had a guy in an S550 ask me a ton of questions as well as an akward moment where I realized a guy in a porsche 911 was more interested in my car then I was in his. When I tell them it is the new Toyota / Subaru they usually mention one of the articles they saw online comparing it to a highline car and how Toyota / Lexus has some really nice designs. Also a few chicks asking to go for a ride which ends with me holding up my hand and pointing to the ring on my finger lol

I've had a lot of double-takes from other drivers and people in parking lots. Almost all reactions are positive, one person asked why I went with the FRS rather than the BRZ ("because I could get one..."). There are a lot of people who've heard of the car, but never really seen one in person. That should dwindle as they become more popular, but it's still fun
Had one cute blonde tell me "I love your car!"
