People's Reaction to Your New FR-S

While I was parked at a state park a very nice Aston Martin Vantage pulled up near me:



and in the span of the 10 mins or so that we were both there, I have two people come up and ask me if that was "the new one" or what it was... noone asked anything of the Vantage driver

cruising the freeway.. A topdown mustang driver w/ a friend and his girl going same speed, the girlfriend was taking pictures! after that they WOT and gave thumbs up! Another day, went to a hardware store parked and after buying stuff and going back to the car, a guy driving classic ford car or something parked beside mine (did not really paid attention to his car so I don't know) started interviewing me about the car. He really mentioned NO CHROME WHEELS ON THIS CAR!! I just laugh cuz he really sounded funny but HELL NO TO THE CHROME WHEELS! lol! This car is THE CAR TO KEEP!

The other day I got a slow drive-by from a mustang GT on the highway, followed by a thumbs up !

A couple in an Accord pulled up next to me at a red light and asked how much it cost. They were very surprised when I said $25k. The wife (Im assuming) was very impressed with it.

Took it into the dealer to schedule some maintenance. They wouldn't let me leave for 30 minutes, had to let people look around and sit in it...


I should get paid for this!

No one has said anything yet but I get a lot of the "once over" on the road.

I'm retired and every morning I go for a drive following a particularly pleasant route through the foot hills here in Tucson. I don't know the various models of some of the exotics but the second morning I was on my drive a low slung black car with a prancing horse on its hood gave me the thumbs up as we passed each other. I never had that happen in all the years I drove Miatas.

My red FR-S gets a lot of attention from people in their 20's and old dudes in convertibles. I'm 46...am I old?....hell no!

I get plenty of stares, people always ask me if this car is the new "FRS". In my head im like, "ITS A GODDAMN SUBARU".

Kept being tailgated by a VW GTI and was actually getting kind of irritated because I couldn't figure out why I was being tailgated on a neighborhood road when I was already over the limit and there was an empty lane next to me, but then I figured out the passenger had been taking pics of the car the whole way down the road lmao when I saw her taking more pics at the stop light when I changed lanes for a left turn.

week one: several haters try to race/ or run me off road at night cuz I wasn't going fast enough?

1 corvette ride in my back seat trying to figure out what it was (took subaru/brz) off

1 cop illegally change lanes to get behind me at a light and run my tags/ (may not tint)

several people take pics and drool on my car

week 2 : IN THE SHOP: some guy who didn't want to wait like the rest of us tried to get a sales person to sell him MY car. (was parked in back for service)
I told my sales gal if he comes back, he can make me an offer and have the one with the cel issues...I'll reorder in 2014...lol

LOL, now I know why there are cars tailgate in the back and next lane back so close to me when I'm driving at traffic speed . This car got so much attention no matter what color. BTW, it look stunning not only in the day time but badass at night time !

A few of my many encounters:

I picked mine up in May, before the commercials were out, and 10min after leaving the dealer I was going down the interstate, a car was passing me and the kid in the passenger seat kept spinning around in his seat all excited then hung out the window yelling "hell yeah!". Made me feel even better about my purchase

A few days later while stopped in traffic a guy in front put his car in park, opened his door, stepped out and took a picture with his phone, got back in and continued to wait in traffic, lol.

Usually when washing / waxing someone slows down to compliment. Especially good to hear after shining it up.

A guy in a sweet 370z stopped next to me a few weeks ago and yelled "the sh*t is dope!" and then made his right turn with a thumbs up out the window.

The best I think is when my girlfriend was working at a BMW/Lexus/Mercedes dealer, customers were checking it out while I was inside and asking about it.

It's definitely been getting a ton of attention...and since the commercials are now out, folks are no longer asking if it's a Porsche or Maserati...instead I hear "Is that the new Sky-on?!" Then I say "yup" and think to myself "It's Sigh-on!"
