They *used* to be an alright company to order from... back in the day (circa 2004-ish). But I won't lie: I started getting very, VERY concerned after placing my order, THEN reading more recent reviews. Now I'm starting to see the reason for it.

i couldnt imagine spending 3k dollars on almost stock sized wheels... more power to you though for ordering something real though i guess.
vivid has not only terrible prices, but terrible service... dont see how people still buy through them.

I feel your pain. I have ordered multiple sets of Volks for my cars and the last set I ordered I got the same run around you got. After 4 months I came to find out that the wheels were never actually ordered and the company was basically scamming people now using money from Peter to pay Paul. Now I only buy Volks/Works/Advans that are already in stock or I go with a company like Forgeline that makes their own wheels and delivers you a custom wheel in a more than reasonable amount of time.

Eek. Hate hearing horror stories like that. Hope you get it sorted out and the wheels are indeed in the Mackin warehouse.

Partial update: no, the wheels are NOT at either Mackin or at Vivid's warehouse.

I'll fill everybody in on the rest once this dispute is fully settled, and I'm sane enough to write somewhat more impartially.

Hopefully you get your wheels (the right ones!) soon. I'd be about ready to bash someone's head in if I dropped $3k on Volks and got the wrong color/offset.

Evasive quoted me 60-90 days when I ordered my 57Xtremes, and supposedly they were in stock in Japan, so we'll see.

Why would you order such a hight offset on a 7.5" rim anyways? Maybe this is a blessing in disguise?

Exactly i think they gave you a better offset and color, not what you ordered but i would prefer what they sent you.

Because I'm a semi-educated adult who can magically use numbers to figure out exactly what look/ performance I want, based on stock wheel specs and handling characteristics? Ooooh, eery....

Biting sarcasm aside, you do know how offsets on a wheel work, right? And that the stock 7" wide wheels have an offset of +48?

Then you'll be happy to know there'll be a set in stock at Vivid in a couple of days, with no waiting. Good for you... enjoy.
