Do yourself a favor and dont use them .

Here is a sample of why not to use crocs or flip flops unless you want to be that guy....

Birth control effectiveness:

Condoms: 99%
Birth Control Pills: 99%
Crocs and Flip Flops: 100%

Good driving shoes:

Ferragamo drivers
Car shoe
Sparco tennis shoes ( love the thin sole )
Kenneth Cole drivers
Piloti's
Converse
adidas
Even toms are better driving shoes than flip flops.

I hate driving barefoot, but I drive with strapped sandals/flip flops most of the time. pretty easy

When I was a sophomore in high-school, my band directors daughter wrecked her car into a utility pole right outside my neighborhood. Apparently she was wearing flipflops, and somehow they stuck the accelerator to the floor. She knocked out power for whole neighborhood, which ended up frying the motherboard on my $1k custom built PC I had just finished. I was soooo pissed.

Long story short, don't wear flip flops when driving, ever! I rarely wear mine, but when I do, I just kick them off and drive barefoot.

Being in SoCal, Slippers are kind of a normal thing? Especially since i'm near the beach. I'm not familiar with San Antonio's fashion sense and women, but being a regular guy and wearing slippers here does not decrease your chances of bumping uglies.

Flippy floppies are fine. I'm not always racing.

I wear flip-flops quite a bit, but seldom drive with them on. On the rare occasion if I'm just going a few miles I might drive with them on, but more than that I'll kick them off and drive barefoot. Most of the time I drive with proper shoes though.

I love driving in crocks. I have much more pedal feel than wearing regular shoes. Deal with it.

I've tried driving with flip flops, but by the light at the end of my street, I pulled over, took them off and switched to barefoot. People looked at me weird when I was getting out and I threw my flip flops out on the ground and then stepped into them.

I like shoes. Has the benefit of better grip on the pedal and on the carpet which suits my foot control style which relies heavily on keeping my heel on the floor and pivoting on my ankle. Plus in winter everyone loves shoes.
