Parking lot = private property. Insurance company will ATTEMPT to call this a "no fault" which means both of you pay your deductible and have your own cars fixed.

I mentioned "attempt", because you do not have to accept that as the final verdict. I had a woman drive directly into the front of my car a few years ago in a parking lot and that is what her insurance company tried to pull. The worst part of my situation was that we had the same insurance company.

I called them out using a "conflict of interest" argument, and accused them of simply wanting to collect 2 deductibles for what was clearly the fault of only one of us(her).

I won, but it took about an extra week just to get anything started versus the 1-2 days it normally takes. Your photo will be extremely helpful in making them do what is right and fix your car. I had no photos, only a description of the area.

Well lucky for us these fenders are dirt cheap, the list price is $210.46 but I was able to get one cheap for this price here.

10/01/2012 Debit SPARKS TOYOTA SCION MYRTLE #4413 $193.21
Some idiot kicked my fender in, these come in as silver sheet metal, you have to prime them then paint them. The paint is $128.
