What aftermarket parts did they have in their FR-S?

TRD cat back exhaust, TRD lowering springs, and various wheels (RPF1 or similar) wrapped in Yokohama S drive tires (I think? correct me if I'm wrong). I think I did hear them say it's the rubber that's going to be offered with the TRD wheels.

That's correct.

And I hate to break it to you 5pm people, but you guys got the short stick. I wound up going early at 4pm and one of the guys in our group spun out and nearly took out the PIR concession stand. So when we all finished up they changed the track... and made it about half as big.

Here I'm filming my friend on the larger course:

Yeah, seems like you guys at the end did get short handed with an altered course. No hairpins and no slalom in that later course. Must say going full throttle through the slalom section was so much fun. Plus the tires were pretty shot to begin with. The white car had the best tires.

5 min before they put the 4pm group on the course they replaced the tires on the red car and black car. I didn't see any get replaced before the 5pm session.

No matter the tire condition, I think it's safe to say we all had a blast!

This is true. White had the worst tires in our time slot. They said they took down half the course because PIR was running some drag and needed the space, then naturally nobody showed up to take over that half until 5:45.

Yours is a bit steadier than the video we got of the same run. Amazing how much faster that first straight after the first corner looks with one of us driving versus someone who doesn't have confidence that the car can do it flat out.

Wonder what speed we topped out at. Neither the GF or I even looked at the speedo once, drove entirely by feel.

http://frsfirstdrive.eventbrite.com/

One on Carson, CA in a few weeks. Not sure how close that is to you.

Edit - ah, it's completely sold out already. Bad luck!

Same here! My pops and I talked about never once looking down at the speedo.
