The 6-speed in the new GT is actually pretty damn snick-snick.

However, given an engine that makes that kind of power and torque, it's always going to be less delicate feeling than something like a Honda transmission. The parts just have to be so much more heavy duty so the transmission doesn't grenade itself.

I actually tend to prefer a transmission with very positive shift action. If the effort is a bit higher, I'm ok with that...I like the mechanical feel of it going in to gear.

I hope you have a system like subaru sti, lexus ct200h, nissan gtr to set and adjust power and engine response, perhaps the response of the steering and suspension

To be honest, I hope they don't have those things. I want this car to be "I control the car" & not "the car control me". Just want simple system (& make it on/off), and don't need high tech stuff

Agreed none of that crap. The less electronics the better. All I want is 6 speakers, single cd and 1 aux input for electronics.

Screw the single-CD and just give me an SD slot.

A single 8 inch sub, tweeters up by the A pillars, 6x9s in the doors and beside the rear seats. That's a 7 speaker set-up, and given good components and some amplification for the sub, it can sound wonderful.....

An 8 inch sub with built in amp doesn't weigh much and would be rear mounted anyways, so it would probably HELP the weight distro.

In your other thread, you just posted up about weight reduction yet you want to have a full system!?!

I actually hope they have a regular din w/a pocket below like my GSR so you can have the option of either removing the h/u and putting a cover, upgrading the din only or removing both the din and pocket for a double din! I think that would be more practical.

I think you must have skimmed my posts in that thread instead of reading them. I was looking for tips to drop weight EXCEPT for the AC, stereo, and all of the sound insulation.
