Ever see people who were into these cars?

Dodge Omni GLH. Try to tell the owners of these little gems that they suck (they do suck now, but in their day they were the ugliest little shiznits on the road...lol).

Not saying they did, but it's nowhere close to 200-300 out of 800 people having the issue.

200-300 cars out of 800 is a lot.

You act like there's no car better than the brz or FRS, sorry maybe for you it's the best you can get.
I traded in a BMW E46 M3 I paid cash for, I paid cash for this one too. So besides the fact you're rude you also don't pay attention to detail because there have been 8000 cars sold. The failures are unfortunate to those affected but in the big scheme of things the percentages are within reason.

If you're going to be a self righteous prick, do it somewhere else...

They were the ultimate sleeper. NO ONE expected (especially 5.0 Mustangs and Z28's of the day) to get beat by one of these......classic!

Agreed. I wasn't saying they were similar in the slightest.

Those are simply my wife and my two choices.

The STI is more practical (FOR US)....being that it's 4 doors and AWD and has the added benefit of very good power.

The BRZ handles better, gets better mileage, and is a really nice looking car.

I wasn't saying the two were in the same category....simply that we've narrowed our choices down to these two for OUR uses.

We're more interested in the STI for the AWD and 4 doors. We are thinking of relocating to the mountains an hour west of Denver....there'll be lots of snow to contend with as well as graded but gravel roads to get to our property. The BRZ doesn't really make sense in that light....but we're not 100% sure we're moving either.

Update: A Subaru tech was there today and tried reflashing my ECU. Still no good. Someone from Subaru's "Design Team" is coming on Tuesday to try and figure this out. I asked if he had any idea what they were going to try and do and he said he would possibly have a new ECU with him but that's all he knew. Sounds like they have no idea what's going on
