People can't handle honest but scathing reviews of their car? I'd rather read or watch those than the ones where the reviewers were obviously paid off (or threatened with excommunication) and emphasize all of the good points of the car while ignoring most of the bad points.

Attached are images of some of my exploits behind the wheel, track and street and without a doubt the FR-S is by far my favorite car I have owned.
Is that endorsement enough or do I have to pretend I like everything about it?
I haven't watched the whole review yet...waiting for my slow-ass connection. Just wanted to say I'm jealous. Shifter karts rock, and is pic #3 an Atom? Those things are awesome.

i agree with you in principal, but really, if you give this some serious thought,WHY should you have to settle for a "busted ship" so to speak, when you just laid out 25 large? the japanese are known for producing "quality" cars from the beginning,so why,IF the car is engineered properly,AND built properly, like any OTHER offering from scion/toyota/subaru,then you "deserve" a trouble free car from the outset! it is my belief the car IS being built correctly for 2 reasons, first the japanese have very strict quality build standards, and 2nd,i think they are getting "stung" with so/so "vendor" parts
now, this is ''still" unusual fo the japanese ,because they demand strict quality control for their vendors too! i have no fears whatsoever toyota/subaru will take care of their customers,if warranty issues should arise!..just my 2 cents!

I'm not sure what paperwork the rest of you signed when you got this thing, but I made a simple purchase. I didn't enlist in any sort of FR-S defense league. Someone can absolutely hate this car all over the internet and it's not going to change my opinion of it one bit. I'd actually like that if it ran down the values low enough that I could grab a used one as a project car.

i can appreciate your point of view, however finding one of these at a "lower value" just ain't gonna happen for years to come, and even then,a high mileage example will still go for "tall" money if they hold up over time! and are "not" beat to death!..just sayin'

they drive 'em because they just want to get from point a to point b reliably

Frankly, there are so many reviews on the FR-S, I know it is annoying, however here is a different side.

How do you feel about it?
I think it's funny that you come here to troll a board dedicated to the car with a negative comment intentionally. The tone of your post here is almost braggadocious regarding your negative review.

I find it incredibly rediculous that you think you are a reviewer, and even more so that you have "gotten lots of emails and comments requesting" anything. I certainly havent heard of you and judging by way you present and deliver your arguments, the only cars youve been in is the backseat of your friends as they drive you to and from the 7-11. In order to successfully give a review, you must have some sort of platform to make the reader/viewer think you know what you are talking about. You have none and you have no merit to what youre saying. Good try as an amateur, but stick to writing reviews, attend actual press conferences, and find a mentor there.

its weird because all the things he says suck, i find to be awesome. "its the car everyone wanted in '97." sounds perfect. or the whole cross between rx8, s2k, lotus etc...simply amazing. looks are subjective so i cant really say that just because i disagree with him, he is wrong. wait, just got to the point where he said high ride height means it has to have high spring rates. seems like he just found out where toyota spent the money

Well reliable is one thing, having it break with no parts availability is another. I think half the people bent out of shape about this review would be the ones calling a lawyer if they were told it would take two months to fix their car.

I read your review, and while I agree with the lack of acceleration, it's something you can either accept or not. If you have grown to love TQ and HP you won't enjoy this car.

Are you kidding, trolling? I own the car and if you read the thread I said it's by far the my favorite car I have owned even over a Lotus and Atom.

I never said I was a reviewer, and in fact in my early 20s I spent time on the side doing it. The job sucks, you don't make any money and you can't be honest without major fallout.

All the personal attacks are hilarious. It's like instead of talking about the car more people are personally offended by the review. Maybe if you would have followed this thread you would have more answers, or maybe I can ride in your back seat and you can teach me everything?

This is what no one gets about the review. Its like they want me to say. "The interior is AWESOME!!!!!" The truth is it's not, but it's completely part of the charm of the FR-S and what made older Jap cars in the 90s cool.

Simplicity.

Exterior is totally subjective. I think they stripped a lot of the character off the car from the concept so much so it's not going to age well. But again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

If you're so unhappy with it, instead of bitching like a little girl, just sell the damn thing be done with it. Why all the drama?

Are you reading the wrong thread, or different review?
Did I ever say I was unhappy with the car?
