This was where the customer had bought the kit:
http://www.advancedkeys.com/index.htm

Its the only time I have used this company and it went pretty well. They do not have very good tech support, however I was able to find answers to any questions I had through their forum support. They have both a knob start option as well as a push start which im guessing would work better with the OEM push button.

That's cool but I want a smart key, not a smart card device thing. Need something to attach to a keyring with minimum bulk.

Where did you order the plastic frame for the push to start button?

How would the trunk open? Does the smart key have a button for it?

Its done by holding down the unlock button. Takes a few seconds to pop it.

I wouldn't trust BestBuy to replace my headlamp bulbs let alone touch my wiring...most of those guys are crap.

As much as I agree with you two 100%, the only reason I've gone to bestbuy is simply because it's a major company that if anything woes wrong for any reason they will pay for the damages. If I took it to a small shop not saying they'll do a bad job but if they Fk something im sure there going to try to get out of paying for the damages. 3 years back I got my alarm/remote starter installed at bestbuy. The car (Tc) had less then 400 miles and they scratched the side skirt a deep small scratch. Could not be seen if the door was closed. I told the guy about it and he called the manager, manager took pictures of the damage and told me to get an estimate of the damage. So I did and next day I got a refund for the alarm install and in top if that I got a check for the damage. Really good customer service never did they try to talk there way out of it or try to blame me in any way.

Couldnt we order the panel from Japan or another country that recieved the different choices up interior upgrades. Heck even if we could get a park number for subaru I am sure it couldnt be that hard of a swap.

And I had ordred heated seats for my FRS. The dealer called me today and told me the driver could be full heated but passeger only partially heated because of where the air bag or some type of sensor was located. I know others on here i believe had leather seats installed unsure if heated or not but does anyone have any input or ideas I can recommend to the dealship or who they are contracting with to get around this. I am trying to get them to order the part from subaru the heated seat buttons where the spot is empty in our cars but the salesman said he doesnt think he can get one from them and it may not be compatabile???? I thought these cars are prettty much the same and also if Japan and other countries of different levels of interior upgrades how come in the states its seems so hard for us to just plug in play especially when they are the same car?

I would have gotten the Subaru limited but I love the way the FRS looks especially and the front end.

Should have just had an 86 special ordred shipped to the states lol payed for the shipping

any input is appreciated.

My car is at the dealer ship. It makes me at times want to eat my deposit and back out on the deal and see what the next model year or two comes out with. I am just in love with this car though

And after reading that motortrend article about BRZ coming with a turbo in the near future it makes me wonder.....but who knows motor trend and what there source is I ve searched the web and found nothing but plans for the BRZ to get an extra 50 horse NA. Do you guys think there is any truth behind the article..sorry getting off topic
