No no, your math is correct. The point I was trying to make to you is that a 48mm offset on a 7" wheel and the same offset on a 7.5" wheel will not equal the same distance from hub mounting surface to edge of the wheel Last edited by Mark Slide Squad; 09-26-2012 at 12:07 PM. |

+44 will fill the gap better, with 50+ the wheel goes more inside, you can do +33 with no issues

Will a 18x9 +42mm offset. With a 245/35 tire rub at full lock with a 1inch drop???
I plan on puttin spacers to make them flush. Also add some camber. |

You should be fine. Mine are 17x9 +28. They stick out like a bitch in front, but no rubbing on turns or anything. I'm not dropped, but if anything you'd want camber bolts up front.
With +35, I don't think you'll need spacers. |

Wouldn't be my choice. May rub the strut up front.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah spacer (25mm) would work. Don't buy junk though. It *may* fit without. But you're getting real close to the strut before mounting the tire..

I would say 15mm to make it plus 38 on the front, 15mm is probably the widest spacer I'd feel comfortable with.

Whether or not he wants 10, 15, 20 or 25mm is irrelevant to me. He must choose his own spec. 10mm is hardly going to make or break it, as long as he moves the wheel away from the strut. That said- I would only recommend ones that come with their own pressed studs. Some people call these wheel adapters even though the p.c.d. doesnt necessarily have to change. In addition to the studs, "wheel adapters" will be hub or lug centric. They can also be both hub and lug centric if designed for a specific wheel. This reduces any chance of vibration. I woud not run a "spacer" (plate, no studs) thicker than 8mm without replacing with longer studs. |
