Using a mechanical pump is great. It will last forever and can be rebuilt.

Paul, a few questions... is that white logo on the airbox pipe a 90 deg coupling or the pipe itself? In the second pic, how big of a compromise is mating that dump to the OEM over pipe? Any intentions of testing it with an aftermarket over pipe?

Cheers

@AVOturboworld, when this kit is ready, will you be able to do installs at your Seattle location?

Also, anyway for us locals, can we stop by and take a peek at the turbo?

I believe the turbo car is in Japan.

the best thing about this kit is how much less piping it uses compared to all the others. and simplicity. love avo stuff.

They said you could flip it around to hide it so I believe that's just a coupling then.

EDIT: Nevermind, I herped a derp and didn't realize there was another AVO logo elsewhere!

He's asking about the one coming out of the airbox, not the one going to the TB.

Is that the stock airbox with an AVO sticker on it?

first post above, that is on the actual silicone pipe. @nd question, that is the stock airbox with an AVO logo on it.

If you are looking to get rid of the AVO logo on the silicone pipe, all you need to do is most likely take a hair dryer to it and lift the logo. I highly doubt they had it laser etched

Oh snap, I didn't even see that AVO logo on the airbox one!

Good question, in that case - looks like it might be the pipe it self though, based on how the fastener is.

This is a huge thread to look through so for those following closely; Did they ever announce what turbo will be likely used for the small turbo model?

I won't be doing installs here, I'd suggest having them done by Drift Office in Auburn. I'll be working with them closely, and they have the on-site dyno for further tuning right there.

That initial kit is on our car in Japan, the black AVO BRZ. They'll be doing the tuning and testing to check for any initial issues we haven't uncovered yet. At some point before SEMA (Oct 30 - Nov. 2nd) the remaining parts of the turbo kit will be shipped over to me and I'll install it. After that point I should be able to show off the kit (on the car) in person locally and at SEMA.

The silicone pipe going to the stock air box is a single piece, not a coupler.

@AVOturboworld

Is there any chance of an external wastegate setup on this?
