That doens't mean his exhaust isn't good, just the stock exhaust isn't bad
From 8-19-12. John's no dummy! I'll personally still be getting some form of exhaust regardless though, just haven't seen / heard the right one for me yet. The smiles exhaust and intake sounds put on your face are worth far more than the small HP gains anyhow.

John - just a question regarding the base image that you're using for your tunes. With all the issues with CEL's going on I believe I recall seeing someone in this thread stating that they had gotten an updated ECU or flashed ECU that fixed their CEL issues. Are you using that new/flashed ECU image for your tunes or the original one?

I'd like John to tune a Perrin headerback MT and see what happens @PERRIN_Chris @PERRIN_Jeff you may wanna see about setting john up with some of your headerback catted vs catless gear, to sell, tune and help those east coast folks out. I'm interested in the visconti tune-for perrin.

They might, but then again, they might not. They also are EcuTek licensed dealers, and may not want to cut into their own profits.

+1

Just got my car back from the dealer who reflashed my ecu to correct the cel issue. Is this going to affect our Visconti tunes?

That would in theory indicate that the stock exhaust and intake may not be as restrictive as perceived. This kind of would make sense. But during Perrin's testing, they were still able to improve the torque dip and power by adding intake and exhaust on top of the Ecutek tune. One would think that all mods should work together. This is all interesting stuff. I can't wait to see more results once finished.
Ugh just had a long reply almost done and my phone died. Don't have it in me to type it again this late. Yes thats exactly what I've been seeing so far but there's not all that much data yet. Been waiting for what John's doing now and excited to see final results, wish I had the means to do it myself or help out. Interesting stuff for sure.
