I can open/close the passenger window with the passenger side window button, but I can't open/close the passenger window with the driver side button. The passenger button "auto" light also blinks. Sometimes I can get it to open/close from the driver side, but it is broken for sure. I'll need to take it in unfortunately.

Edit: It worked, thanks! I didn't disconnect any switches though, but at least I know how I can get it to work properly. I just searched through the thread and saw that other people were holding the switch up to get it to work, but I'll need to bring it to the attention of a dealership the next time I have to come in. |

I'm going in for this one tomorrow. Sounds like I'm going to have a fun day of yelling at Subaru. If this is indeed true, I'm going to be even MORE upset for my CSR even letting me go to the dealer for this in the first place. Yet another effing waste of my time. Thanks, SoA!! Groan.

I have never had the issue. It's always worked for me. My wife in the same car says it usually doesn't work for her. I was convinced it was the way she operates the switch.

Subaru replaced the drivers-door window switch module but that didn't fix the problem.
Took them a day to replace the switch: needed software updates to correctly program the replacement for the car via a Subaru support escalation |

I fiddled with it for quite a while and found that if I press it for a half second it goes up or down uninterrupted. Anything longer or shorter than that did not trigger auto open/close. So maybe they just made the frequency interval too narrow.

I have problems with this on my passenger window. I figured it was probably something to do with the switch sensitivity. I have to press it a little harder than the drivers door to get it to work. I figure I'll mention it when I go in for my 5k appointment in november/december.
