Nice edit... But I do have an 04 STi also, and it does serve it's purpose

To each their own, the UEL is one of the main reasons I want this kit.

So you want a turbo that spools really quick and makes high HP up top. GLWT.

Let me know if you find this "perfect turbo".

As far as UEL VS EL. I've driven a turbo car with both as well as both twin scroll and single port. The differences are negligible. Correctly sizing the turbo to the application means a boat load more than whether or not the exhaust port has 1 or 2 streams. But hey, rock on. Keep us posted. I'm sure a lot of people want a turbo that makes power from 2000-7500 RPM.

I believe the OP says this is not a twin scroll , it's a single. I'm not 100% as I just woke up.

Does this kit require you to run a scavenger pump?

UEL or EL, you won't notice the gains that much. UEL is actually a subaru design flaw, it's just how they made it. the exhaust gases don't move as smooth, since two cylinder runners are squished. STi's gain a good 20whp with EL header and tq, depending on what else is done to the car.

on this small 2.0 motor though, i doubt there will be a significant difference. i for one, WANT the subaru rumble in this car. it'll be the only two door sports car with that subaru growl and people will be like wtf. i can't wait.

From the looks of where the turbo is mounted, I say yes

You're correct. I just never referred to the OP though I should have.

That is what I thought as well from the placement. Just didn't know if it was confirmed.

Cannot avoid that with the low mount turbocharger. That part will be interesting, though...

I'm not trolling, I just found it amusing how you thought it would make THAT much of a difference ... Because you "road race".

Don't get your panties in a twist. I, like many others, will gladly take a nice mid range turbo with UEL. :-)
