Canadian Tire car cleaning supplies for Opti-Coated cars

The touchless car wash isn't doing it for me anymore, too much dust build up that requires a bit more soaking and a bit more scrubbing.

For a car that's been Opti-Coated, what would you guys recommend i purchase as a cleaning solution and a scrub tool (mit, sponge, towel) from Canadian Tire

i don't have too much time so a speciality shop would probably not be an option.

I want to be as gentle as possible so i can get the most out of the opti-coat

cheers.

is optimum no rinse a product?

just for the record i'm not new to washing cars.. i just never cared about what products to use, until now. And there are some stickier stains on the car that just a rinse isn't goign to get off, hence the scrubbing part.

It's a solution you mix with water. I use it to wash my opticoated car.

This is what I have been doing,

Pressure wash @ car wash with soap, get off the heavy dirt, rinse the head of the foam brush and WITHOUT touching the car I lay the foam from the foam brush to cover the entire car, then I used a microfiber wash mitt with a one small bucket of clean water and light pass all the panels, Rinse off and hand dry with waffle weave towels (greatest ever)

However: I have optimum no rinse and wheel brush and all that coming to me soon.
I dont know how far they are from you but Eshine.ca has very very well priced detailing products for same if not cheaper than Canadian tire!
And they have in the article section how too's for there products!

P.S. stay away from simonize products!

if you want more info for car detailing go to www.live2detail.com guys on there are awesome and extremly well knowledged, few of the detailers here chat on there as well!
Cheers

What butang said, also never just rinse the car.. That's like washing your hair with just water.. Always start with soap , it acts kind of like a lubricant to get the dirt off then rinse it off

Would it be safe to wax a car that has been opticoated? What about clay barring the car?

ONR is a great product. Google Wisdom Detail, buy 32 oz off him. I believe NextMod sells it as well.

Just be sure to remove the tags before you use them on your vehicle. Usually their quality is not exactly up there so the towels start to get a little abrasive for the paint after the first couple of washes.

There's a local Microfiber business that just started up, they sell high quality paint safe Microfiber for all duties(drying, polish removal, wax removal, All Purpose (interior) and MF wash mitts)
