heated seats on brz suck, not even warm on either setting.
my other car in low gets warmer and on high it's hot as a sauna. |

I turned the passenger one on without my wife noticing, about 5 minutes in she turned the AC up, then rolled her window down. I asked if she was having a hot flash and she just looked at me angrily. I glanced down, she followed my glance and promptly called me an ass.
They seem to work fine for me on the normal setting, stay on nice and toasty as long as I keep it on, maybe a half hour at most is all I've run it at once though. Haven't noticed on/off activity at all.

Maybe they're calibrated for Southern California?
![]() (no, I DO plan on using mine - there's some chilly mornings and late nights in the 50's they'll be perfect for!) I can't remember - are the outside mirrors heated too? Controlled automatically or when you turn the seat heaters on? |

I think the heated seats work fine, at least for me. They warm up an then stay warm for a while maybe you guys just have extra warm butts so you don't notice it as much?

I put mine on rapid and when it gets hot I turn it off and switch it to normal. I *think* this helps a bit. The last heated seats I had were on my Audi and they got scorching hot and stayed that way but it's an Audi.

Just tested mine out this morning - it's nowhere near as powerful as the one in my Envoy. Seems to be just as weak as the rear defroster.

I tried this and it seemed to work reasonably well. I set the seat to the "Rapid Heat" setting and when it became very warm I changed it to the regular heat setting. At that point the seat settled into a comfortable warmth that seemed to stay on.
Granted the seat won't be cooking lunch for you, it's not a therapeutic heat, but it is warmer than an ice cold seat in the morning. Also, one reason why the seat may not be all that hot is because I think some car companies were being sued by people who said their seat heaters burned them. Chalk another nice thing ruined by overly litigious morons. |

This is the first car I've owned with heated seats so I'm loving them! It has been pretty chilly in the mornings and some evenings so my new favorite thing to do is to have the windows down with my heated seat ON. So far I have only had the settings to the rapid mode and I have noticed that I can really only feel the heat in my lower back area and after awhile the heat seems to fade away, or maybe my body just adjusts to the heat, who knows. So I would say that the heat temperature could use some improvement...I just don't want my butt to be on fire!

My daughter had complained once that it burnt her; I put it down to typical (for her) hyperbole, since I couldn't reproduce. But now I think she was telling the truth. |

I tried mine yesterday for the first time since I got the car and they seemed to work okay. Nothing like my Forester where you cannot leave it on the rapid setting or else it becomes way too hot.
