It looks very good!! I like!!

Couple things:
-as Zgrinch already stated, it definitely needs a slit for a cord/wire
-double red stitching would be a good idea, although it looks clean, double stitching would give it a more "filled out" look
-not to make it flashy or anything, but an "86" stamped in it would look pretty authentic.

Cool product man thanks for sharing!

Yeah, like the Audi's. I was hoping that you could slide it backwards to have enough room for at least 1 cup if the cupholder is placed in the forward position. I mean, there should be enough room for it to slide back since it goes all the way back to the rear seats.

But the way that thing looks just isn't doing it for me... It needs to be more compact and rounded and taper off on the edges or something. It kind of looks out of place and doesn't match the interior shapes/styling, in my opinion. I think a lot of us were hoping it'd look more like the RX-8 armrest:

I really think toyobaru needs to redesign this. Although this armrest looks nice, it can't be used while drinking a beverage and it looks absolutely awful while open.
Yeah, I think they should just replace/redesign that whole center piece on the Scion and put a cup holder where the heated seat buttons are supposed to go.

Definitely looks good! I would be in to purchase if the price is reasonable as well.

As others have stated, it would be nice :

1. For an opening for cord to be allowed through
2. Double red stitching (possible "86" design would be sweet as well)

I'm not too keen on drilling into the console for this either, but at this point, wouldnt be a deal breaker for me if the price is good !

I bet having a cup in that location would interfere with shifting - maybe not though.

Wink Right hand drive option

Features
-It doesn't interfere with the cupholder in the armrest (unless you've got a cup in them).
-It is setup at the same height as the armrest on the door, which is a nice feature.
-Soft black leather with red stitching that is a dead match for the rest of the red stitching used throughout the interior.
-Nicely padded
-Excellent fit and finish
-Button lock/release mechanism

Until this piece was installed, I never knew that I was missing having an armrest!

Here are some pics:

Will there be a right hand drive version?

Also Roof mounted sunglasses/maps lights console( similar to Accord euro)???

Single stitching is correct for the balance of the interior

I like it. I removed that dual cup holder on day 1 of ownership since there is a cup holder on each of the door panels. I also am not a fan of drilling into the console and I think a rear hinge for those that like the cup holders in the console is a good idea too. I think the single stitch keep the interior balanced as well. Maybe a "drop in" arm rest would work and could be removed when not needed...so long as it's padded to stop rattling noise.

not a very good pratical design, lets says you need to use the cupholders, that means it has to stay open and if the passenger needs to get thier cup it will be in the way, this should open from the front and go back, not from the side. This design is very flawed to me.

As far as i know all the ones that open back are very hard for the people sitting in the back to reach. Second, I don't think it would look nice if the panel was sticking out 1 foot in the middle for the entire time you drive the car for your drinks to be inside. It would come crashing down every time you hit the breaks. The arm rest opening to the side would mean the drinks also wouldn't spill on the passenger. The design of it looks perfect. Very slick covers the only part of the car that looked a little messy.

looks very good and even close to factory. well done.

i personally like this design and it's sturdy. doubt stitch or single i don't mind. i agree with the slot for wire and if the screws are painted black then it will be perfect.

please make a RHD version!! thx

^ This. Looks like a real pain if you have a passenger, and a cup. I know someones gonna have a fastfood cup in there, and their passenger crushes it and spills the drink when their arm bumps the lid of the cover.

Would prefer if it was either 100% removable, or opened towards the back of the car personally. If it did, I'd definitely want one!

Edit Add: Also, idc if people in the back cant reach it. I leave the back seats flipped down 24/7 and just tell people its a 2 seater... Because racecar
