Btw this is my first car ever but it is kind of scary to think that the airbags deploying cracks the windshield.

Sorry about your car. I'd be so upset.

Ain't that the truth, went on vacation late May and was surprised how bad people drive down there. They cut you off no matter how small the gap between cars is. No turn signals and speed like crazy. I thought Los Angeles was bad.

Wow, sorry to see what happened to your ride. At least your OK and the car can be fixed. The really sad part is that the chick that pulled out in front of you probably didn't learn shit and will continue driving like a dumbass, she probably doesn't even understand why she's at fault this time.

I had this same thing happen to me in my RSX. The timing was a little different in that I was T-boned/sideswiped by the front of the guy's truck. It had tow hooks in the front bumper, which acted like a can opener down the side of my car. Sliced from the front wheel to the back wheel, which were Work Meister S1s . His truck didn't even show signs of a wreck. My rex was totalled...

Glad to hear you are ok though, man. Hopefully the insurance process goes as smoothly as it can.

Damn I was looking at the pictures and noticed that looked like my city and then I realized that IS my city! Good thing the toyota dealer was literally a block away. I was suppose to pic up a whiteout but canceled so that might have been my car. Glad its not mine now lol

Very sorry to see this, but there's a bright side.

If you want to rebadge the car, now's the time to get the Toyota airbag cover (by far the most expensive part) at the expense of the girl that caused the accident.

Are you sure there aren't any frame damages? I have doubts on that statement judging by the hood and fender wrinkles from the impact. I hope that's not the case but if there is a frame damage, you might have to put up a fight against her insurance company. Been there, done that.

Be "glad" that it ended with a black eye. Broken bones suck.

really sorry to see these pics / hear this story.
I've had a few close calls too... and of course it happened towards the beginning of ownership.

Are you sure that's not totaled? I've seen less damaged brand new cars (similar cost), get totaled in a heartbeat. I wouldn't want my brand new car "repaired"

Hope everything works out.
